We sure had you waiting a while for both of these, but alas, they are finally here. As always, we thank you all, for your support, and your patience!

Anyways, thanks for everything you guys do. From what I have seen your Sub quality is above A Lot of others out there, that makes waiting for the next ep. of TTGL and D. Gray Man WAY more bearable. Again thanks for the hard work all of you do. And since I have missed a few updates Happy Belated Birthday to those few that happened and Hello to the new people to Black Order.
OMG!!
YES!!!

Thanks so much! I can't wait for the rest of the series, and of course the DVD version you guys are doing with KAA. I'll be collecting both versions!!!
Keep up the great work...

Oo yea... thanks Kip for the bot help. My bad for getting the wrong pack. And not telling how I love mp4 more than avi.
Waking up and finding out that both D.Gray Man and Tengen has had releases. This is going to be a good day :)
Thanks for your hard work

WoooHooo!! More D.Gray Man, Thanks for the quick release Black Order ^^ as always you guys rock
I'm just curious why there is no karaoke at the end (I mean end of episode not normal ending)
kip at 24/09/2007 12:37
@Dark:
To be honest, we're not fans of having karaoke in the middle of the episode unless absolutely necessary. I (at least) am not fond of have additional distractions or text covering up the screen. Since the second insert song is just the OP from episodes 1-14, we thought it would best to leave it out so everyone could enjoy the original form of that part of the episode. If the song was completely new, we would have definite;y added styled karaoke for you guys! :D
@KariMustang:
lol, you always say that, even though we're a week out! xD Thanks for all your support each week! <3
@TriggerAzura:
loving mp4 over avi is an honorable preference! kip salutes you! <o.
@Alkarzar:
Kanpai! :D
Cheers!
Can I ask you guys a question? Do you use your own translations (Seirun, Genba, Shuzakku/Shuzaku, etc) because you don't like the official ones (Sayrune, Gember, Shuzack, etc), like how many people prefer "ganmen" over the official "gunmen"? Or is it because you simply don't know of them at the time?
I'll respect either reason, it's your choice on how you handle your subs.

@Tokkan:
The name "Razengan" 「ラゼンガン」 is indeed similar to Naruto, this is because of the word "Rasen" which means "spiral". Similarly, Naruto's "Rasengan" technique is formed by swirling his chakra into a ball. Since this anime also revolves around swirling and spiraling, we assume the name "Razengan" is some take on that theme (using a Z instead of an S).
We don't "make up" our own names, and it's not because we don't know the "official" names. We choose to spell the names the way we do because they are direct romanizations of the kana taken from the official website. They are neither incorrect nor fully correct since there is no "L" in the Japanese phonetic alphabet.
In this case, the direct romanization works out like this: ラ(ra) ゼ(ze) ン(n) ガ(ga) ン(n).
As for "Gunmen" vs "Ganmen", when we first started the series, there was actually no talk of "Gunmen". Contrary to what most people think, we actually started subbing it when it first aired (we're just very slow xD). At that time, we checked the official site and made a direct romanization of GANMEN (「カンメン」), which also happens to mean "face (of a person)" in Japanese (顔面). Since the first episode seemed to involve faces a lot, it seemed like a very logical translation.
It's also interesting to note that Gurren (「グレン」) means Crimson, and of course... Gurren along with Lagann are red mechas.
Honestly, we've seen a lot of people making a fuss over the names, and we just stick to direct romanizations to avoid any grief. One day it's Gurren, then the next day, some guy posts on his blog that he thinks Gurren Lagann should be translated as "Grinning Lagoon" and everyone goes "zao mah gawd u r right!!1".
Anyway, hope that clears up the issue for you! xD
Man, I love this stuff, I live for the next episode to come out every time. If I wasn't so behind on school work I'd probably lend my services to getting some of this done because it can never come out fast enough.
And you're right about how there's no "L" in the Japanese phonetic language, but technically, there's also no "R", either. The "r" sounds of Japanese are half-rolled between an L and an R, creating a sound that sounds like a combination of both, and in certain people pronounce them sounding closer to an "R" and others pronounce them closer to an "L". That's why they use their "r"-line of characters for Ls in the transliteration process.

Like I said, when we first started subbing those names were in kana. It appears that somewhere along the line, the official site changed "Ga" to "Gu" (Ganmen, Gando, Ganzan etc). Check any of the earlier sub-groups (including Anon) and they were using the same spellings as us. We started out using direct romanizations, so for the sake of consistancy, we stuck with that method for the names that had appeared upto where we are.
And about the L/R thing, yes, Japanese "R's" are like a combination of both, however... that is not to say it is "technically correct" that there are no R's in Japanese phonetics. We just go by the acceptable format laid out by almost every kana table in existance... because the English language doesn't have a working equivalent.
To sum it up; for the names we have already encountered... we'll continue using our spellings (for consistency), for new names, we'll use the "new-official" ones. If they change them on the site again, we'll just have to live with it :P
Have you guys watched up to 26 RAW or do you wait until you actually have to work on the episode? Being behind in all the action kinda sucks!
Not only D.Gray-Man but also TTGL, right on! W00t! Great job Order!
craziplaya21 (web) at 26/09/2007 00:46

I never realized how badass Lord Genome is until now.
i really really like your subs of DGM and TTGL
that's why i wanted to ask something
since i like your subs i chose to Burn your Subs...but i would really like to have the uncensored ep 6...so i wanted to ask if you could make a TTGL release of the uncensored ep 6 with your subs and timing...well i know it would be possible to just take some subs from any other group and put it together with your subs, but i like it when everything fits together and if i did that it would disturb the hell outa me...
that's all i wanted to ask...keep up the good work
and thx for the great releases...
@Harutard:
If you have patience, KAA and Order are working together on DVD-releases with Order-subs. The two first are out, and more underway, including the uncensored episode 6.
OMG i found a torrent for the TTGL OST....i'm downloading it now.
you wanted the link for the OST, KusoKenshi?....here http://tracker.anirena.com/download.php?id=2288
kip at 04/10/2007 19:17
@Harutard:
It wouldn't be difficult to do what you are requesting since we are going to be doing the TL for the KAA-Order joint release of TTGL06. I will talk it over with the group and with KAA and keep you updated!
@Everyone:
Sorry that I haven't been responding to comments as regularly as I usually do, but rest assured... I will get around to reading and answering questions eventually. But, I wanted to say thanks to everyone for their time and continued support for the group. We're slow at the moment (as you guys are painfully aware), so you guys really give us momentum to get out of this quicksand/mudpit we seem to be in! Thank you!
We've got more releases on the way soon, so if you guys will keep watching 'em, we'll keep releasing 'em! :D
