D.Gray-man 60 and updates...

Hey all, I'm back... (sort of). Firstly, I said I'd try not to say it again but... My apologies for the delays on all our projects. I've been fairly busy the past couple of weeks with work amongst other stuff.
At any rate, I think I've found a balance between my personal life and my professional one and I should be able to contribute to the fansubbing process once again! (yey?)
It's long overdue, but here is D.Gray-man 60 in both flavours. I don't expect anyone to have waited, but it's there for those of you who are archiving! :3
D.Gray-man 61 is on its way (just finished editing) and 62 will start translation tomorrow (provided I have some time :P)
And finally, I hope you all had a great x-mas, and if I don't post again before the new year; I hope you all have a great NYE celebration.

you make me soo unbelivable happy, i will always wait for your subs...I#m not the first who says it, and its not my first time that i say it. But i think you B-O guys should know which great work you do, because its not usual for me to wait a month for the next episode. But dudes....i'm not able to read another sub since i read yours^^.

For me, Xmas was rather... complicated, good things and some really bad things happened, so it left a pretty heavily mixed taste in my mouth. But, things have been slowly settling down and i'm doing better again. And seeing this new release, helps so much i cannot begin to describe it, thank you from the bottom of my heart, Black-Order and its members.

If it was dropped due to licensing, it would have been announced a long time ago...
And since it hasn't been announced yet, I highly doubt it's dropped.

I have to admit that I did watch SHS's versions of them since this was a very long wait, but I will also have to say that their subbing sucks compared to the Order's!

Awesome news! And like most people have already mentioned, the fans of Black-Order are loyal - we wait for your releases! I prefer Shinsen over many subbing groups, but for D.Gray-man, it's got to be Black-Order. Thanks for the hard work, and happy new year!

I'm fairly new to D.Grayman (been watching it for a month-ish, in between school and work), but I downloaded from your group (partly because I was eager to check it out, and you guys had the best seeds on the torrents, at the time xD), and I fell in love. I feel that you guys did a great job.
But yesterday, you see, I watched 59...and I was eager for more that I watched 60 from another group. I wish I had waited another day. I'm not making that mistake again. XD

lol I find this funny kip I just watched it a while ago and funny thing my translation of the anime I had written down for my brother so we could watch the was 90% same as yours there were a few parts that i didnt get that was the ten percent. XD

You know, that many trust in you and delays for long time so them afflict.......

Don't want to sound mean but, Shinsen wasn't the first to translate up to 64 and notice lots of mistakes in their translation. And so waiting for Black Order release isn't that bad, they provide good quality and it impresses me A LOT^^

so yeah Translation is very annoying sometimes. especially when you need one more work and you can figure it out for like ever and you need. done ASAP!

We agree on a time and day to meet, but then something comes up with my job and so I don't show. You'd be pretty pissed, right? Even though I was going to do it for FREE, and even though work related issues made an acceptable excuse for having to cancel, I still should have contacted you to let you know I wasn't going to make it.
I just get tired of fansubbers having the attitude that because they do it for free, that makes them above criticism. People here, in spite of the long delays, have continued to be very supportive of you and are only asking--quite reasonably--for some sort of update on what's going on and why there's been such a massive delay when the last update seemed so optimistic about upcoming releases. Yet instead of trying to be sympathetic or helpful, you're just getting defensive. If you have time to post snippy replies to people, you have time to update this site with some information--even if that information is just "I have no idea what's taking so long, I'm very sorry, please continue to be patient." At least that would show that you have some respect for the feelings of your fans.

Anyway, what im getting at is that while it's annoying to have people bugging you when they don't actually know how much sweat and tears go into these releases, I do feel that it's only right I should keep people upto date on how things are progressing.

Anyway... I think one reason fansubbing groups get defensive is because along with all the considerate requests for new releases or an update post, there are so many more in the vein of "zomg liek i need my animes NAO". And it's not like Black-Order's trying to hold out on anybody. It's a busy time of the year, and good fansubbing takes a lot of time. That being said, I can also certainly understand why, even if there are no new releases, some fans would still appreciate a news post simply saying "sorry guys, we're still busy". Either way, I figured that was the case, and I don't mind since I'll just keep waiting until new stuff is out.

I'm reading a lot of "be patient," and I can sympathize, but patience has its limits. For those who don't use IRC, the only way we see any activity here is by rudely asking for subs, so a staffer will tell them to calm down.
I've kinda given up on asking about TTGL, but can we at least get a status report? At this rate, it seems like the group is dead. At least, acknowledge that there will be a long hiatus. It would go down much smoother than constant "short delays" that pile up. I can wait for months if told to, but waiting that long a day at a time is quite rough.

Thats why they get so defensive about things, plus its human nature too that if someone assaults you verbally like that, your first response is to defend yourself.

They could simply stop subbing today, shut down the site without any kind of notice and theres not a damn thing we can do or say. The status at the moment is, kip is busy with work and other things, so the fansub work he's got here can't be done, when he'll have free time to continue subbing, we won't know, he hasn't been in contact in a few weeks, so pretty much everything is on hold.
I really don't want people emailing him asking/begging/demanding him to sub anime which is clearly not what we do for a living. I hope this clears up all these issues, so for now, we won't know when our next release will be.

It's from an absolutely fantastic Tokusatsu show called Garo. TV-Nihon has it available fansubbed for download. It's for a more mature audience than things like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai and it's more than worth your time.

TTGL didn't air in native HD.
The broadcast was upscaled on one channel, which is what BBS-Anon used. Not very good quality at all.
Black-Order would be better off sticking to whatever they are using.

um, guys, why is it that here everyone is anti-shinsen? not that i have a problem or anything (hey, it is your own opinion, i am not judging), but i checked 1 of their d.gray-man releases and i didnt find any huge differences...can someone please tell me the reason of the anti-shinsen-on-d.grayman ? i simply dont get it =/ (i didnt check the sinsen release too much though)....thanks in advance =)

they probably wanted to continue subbing but once episodes sarts to mount and then you have 10 episodes to sub it is hard. As a fansubber, we know its hard to sub anime because you got make sure quality,timming,translations are correct. I found their site but is it possible to download all of their episodes? I can only find a couple for download, the rest are on veoh.

you need to calm down, im in the middle ground. I want BO subs and it pisses me off sometimes that theyre not out, but im not buging them about it. Dattebayo doesnt hav a bad additude either, its just their sense of humor. Lighten up

I love your guys' subs, and you were the people who got me started n both D.Gray-man and Gurren Lagann, but it's been two months since the last episode was released. I'll check back now and then for your higher quality episodes, but I'm going to start watching from other sources. Keep up the good work, though.

My suggestion to Order is that whenever you decide to start subbing again, start with whatever the current episode is (referring to D.Gray-man). I think as time goes by and episodes start piling up, it almost seems like an inescapable situation. It'll be easiest for you to just skip (for now) the missed episodes. For example, if you started releasing right now, screw everything from 61 and on and just release 72. Then, if you have time (e.g. weeks with no new episode), go back and complete the other episodes later for people who archive the show.

Episode 61 of D.Gray-man should've finished encoding and translating and stuff right? Judging from the last status update, I think that episode can released.

I wonder, since we haven't heard anything from Kip in a long time, what does this mean? Is Kip just really busy life now? Or sorting out other issues?
I never really heard much about why the subs aren't moving along, does anyone have any info on what Kip is up to these days?

No offense, but if its only one person you are missing, Kip, why don't you just get some new staff to fill in while he's MIA?
Looking at the staff listing, he did quite a few jobs but you could easily find people to do what he did.
One person grinding things to a hault isn't the best of situations and you're too good of a group to fall into obscurity.

anyway, i'm quite confused with the complete lack of kip atm. Even when im really busy with something, if there was something else that was important to me i'd check it at least irregularly. I mean, in the past when i had stuff on i forsook distracting internet usage... but i'd still check forums etc etc weekly :S
oh well - irrespective of your current state, you guys are still brilliant at what you do. hope to see you back in action soon :D *nods*

Personally i'd have to disagree with that idea considering D.Gray-man is an ongoing series. If there were a planned end, there would be a point when you would no longer have the weekly subbing requirements and could catch up with previous ones. I'd prefer to have a complete order catalogue than be required to watch other subs to reach the current episode.
